ARTIST STATEMENT

I am a multidisciplinary artist with a foundation in architecture, which deeply informs my work. My practice is rooted in abstract geometry, a direct extension of my architectural training. I approach this geometry with a sense of liberation, relying on memory and intuition rather than precise measurements. The resulting forms are a testament to years of controlled design, now transformed into free-flowing spaces that invite exploration.

As an immigrant from Venezuela, I experience a blend of nostalgia and the joy of discovering new surroundings. This duality fuels my work, driving my exploration of themes such as place, belonging, fragility, identity, memory, and the tension between public and personal boundaries. My art is a quest for an ideal state—a space that transcends the physical to delve into emotional and spiritual realms. Through my work, I strive to capture those delicate, sometimes ephemeral places where these themes converge.
